.........and how much difference does it make in your ET? Never used it before, so I'm not sure. Plus, I have hypereutectic pistons, does that make a difference?
I've been told that a 100 hp shot should knock a second off of your ET. This seems right as I had been told in the past that for every tenth faster you want to be, you need 10 more HP. I assuming that's at the rear wheels.
I run a 100hp shot on my 455 with cast pistons(replacements but still cast), and it is fine. I don't know about hypers thow, mine went from a 13:80 to a 12:99, Just make shure it doesn't detanate(if you run nitrus I would run at least 100octane)
Yes the detonation is what hurts the pistons. A guy I know had hyper's in a 454(9 sec car on nitrous), he made plenty of 200 horse nitrous passes, the one time he got into detonation cost him an engine. This is why I made the statement shatters like glass.
