Hey Chris, Nick Tomlinson here. I sent you pics of the 72 I bought. Will have it ready for T&T in April. Just got the motor back in and putting the front end back on. Are you gouing to be able to make it to Martin?

 

My fathom blue LS6 will be finished in June. Only problem is, I have sh*t canned the idea to purestock race it. It will be a weekend street bruiser. Instead, I have 1964 Plymouth Savoy on the rotisserie now. The engine is on the way to the blueprinter as we speak! I plan to make it ready for Sept. Guess what? Max Wedges are expensive!!!!

I had to pull the engine due to a crack in the outside of the block that developed during the Stanton race.
This is the night before Easter and the engine is back in the car. The oil system needs primed, drop the distributor in, fill the center carb bowl. Probably fire it up on Monday and break in the new camshaft.
I'll be racing at Martin and Stanton this year.

Yes I only took the car out to that track one time. That was my old car . The car you see now I have had since 1999. That was a LONGtime ago.... :3gears: I think it was in 1996 or 97

 

Wow! :TU: I remember that crusty old Buick. Looked like a granny car, except for the 3" long studs on the rear, and it ran like stink.
As I recall they thought it went way too fast for having no roll bar.

I love cars that look like that and still go quick. :Brow:

 

Dont know what I will make except Stanton for sure. I am getting the car for this season out of the paint shop next week then finish puting it together. Good luck on your Buick this season.Chris

I`m finishing a friends car up here within the next couple of weeks then I`m on mine an I hope to be painting mine late summer which means I`m putting it back together the fall an winter.

I do plan on attending some of the races this year to check the action an take abunch of pictures seem everyone has a great time. Mark

 

I think we may be able to fulfill the early tri-power Pontiac request. I just took a call this morning on help with an '60 4spd 389 tri-power build. It will not make this year but '09 is realistic.

We have a FAST motor for Bruno's grill. He need more power as all of us guys eat to much.

It was sold new in Niles Michigan, about 10 miles north of here. The original owner used to race it as a Pure Stocker at Osceola Dragway back in the day. Nobody knew how fast it would run cause he would only go fast enough to just barely win.
