Years ago a guy named Bill Burton from Kokomo Indiana rebuilt a clock for my father's 64 Wildcat, and did a good job of it. He recommended hooking the clock to a toggle switch to turn off and on when in use to prolong the life of the internals. At the time he was selling parts for Wildcats, went by the name "Cats Lair". Bill, you out there? The Indiana Chapter of the GSCA could probably find Wild Bill for you.

There is also a speedometer and tach repair place in Rockton, Il. that advertises in Hemmings that does good repair work. Probably not too much help for you, but good luck.

Several shops are listed in Hemmings. After shopping the issue, it is a better deal to buy a new tach from OPG. Cheaper than YO on the hood tach.

I had my 70 dash tach done my Instrument Repair Service, I believe in Illinios. It's pretty, but even less accurate than before. I guess the service does not include calibration, or are these things even able to be calibrated?

If memory serves me correct Bill Burton was pres of the Indiana chapter of the GSCA when I lived down there a year and a half ago, May still be.
