I saw this near my neighborhood and grabbed some pics. I know nothing else. There is a phone number on the car. I can stop by and investigate if you are interested and have discussed it with the owner.
1,200 yes 6,000 maybe 12,000 nope. Engine and interior would need to be near perfect. Body looks good though.
It'd be a cool car with a Nailhead in it... If it's dead stock, that's certainly the high end of the value point. Still; if it's rust free and not too bad looking on the inside it might be a negotiable item. At 6'8" I probably won't fit, - so I'm out...
Actually Marc these cars have a lot of legroom. My 6'4" brother in law had no problem fitting behind the wheel of my 72.
I have to agree . Legroom is really good . I'm 6'0" and the seat isn't all the way back and I have plenty of room . My legs are straight out .
So I was curious and looked up what the value of the car is according to Hagerty. According to them a #3 condition car is $12600. So the guy is actually in the ball park it seems. Like most of you I was thinking 12k was high, but apparently not.
Well now you got me going to try and find one; - and up here in Canada they don't exist, they all dissolved years ago. (The 5 or 6 that were actually imported here)
I had a friend in the Air Force who had one. He took it to Germany, apparently they never sold them over there, it gathered a crowd everywhere he took it. They were rust buckets, this one looks pretty good.
A 430 Buick fits in an Opel GT you just need to massage things a bit. Something I did in the late 80s before getting laid off and had to sell my project .
