Wondering if I should go with Hastings or Speed Pro for stock replacement moly rings ? Wasn't sure if the Chinese Speed Pro stuff was any good. I made the mistake several years ago of selling my good old USA made Speed Pro's to another member, and spaced out replacing them right away.
I would not put Hastings in my lawnmower, just my opinion, others may have better experiences. Last set I bought,(several yrs ago) were so rough I had to deburr them so they would compress into the ring lands. I thought it was ring gap too tight at first, finally saw the casting burrs/flashing on the cast iron rings, filed and sanded so they would compress.
