There were lots of issues to over come. On your car I think it would be easy due to your hood having more clearance over the engine. I have about 1500.00 in parts and labor in the project. The latest part was the drop base in the air cleaner. Not only did I drop the base 1.5 inches but raised the bottom of the "cups" on the end of the snorkels by 1 inch to get clearance over the Dist and Alt. I will post a few pics of the under hood stuff.
$1500 would mean no exhaust or wheels or performance mods. I guess it could all be done much later!!!
Your not gonna get alot of preformance mods for 1500. A set of heads will be roughly double that. you could get maybe Carb, intake, headers and ing system if you really shopped smart and bought some of the stuff used.
