What all is needed to swap a 401 out with a 350 in a 66 GS?
Any direction will be greatly appreciated.

I'm also looking for 350 brackets & pulleys.

    Thanks

You can most likely use the SBB frame pads and mounts for a 66 with the 350. I am not sure however would like to know... I know that the V6 mount location is the same but there may be some differences between the 300, and 340 compared to the 350.

I really dont think it will be that big of a deal to swap. A lot of guys on here are saying that this swap is a real bitch and costly, but I have not found a thread on the process and issues of the swap.

Just curious, the nailheads are cool engines, why swap in a 350 and lose 51 cubic inches?

I agree, but the guy that owns the car does not.

I did it in a 67 Special using a complete 68 350 out of a GS Cali. with factory 300 frame mounts. Even kept the crossover pipe on the engine when installing. No issues. to speak of except the exhaust y pipe ended at a different location than a 300. A 300 was in the 66 Skylarks/Specials. I threw this engine in when the 455 melted bearings. But I have no idea about what side the rad hoses are on or starter on a 401.

Rad hoses, starter wiring, etc, all on the other side from NH to 350/455, need '67 wiring harness, frame mounts, radiator, etc. It can be done, look at TOPCAT 455 installation in '66 Wildcat!

Set the 350 and 200R4 in last night for mock up, everything lookes good, dont see any major issues at all.
