Does anyone know if there is a company that resilvers rear view mirrors? I've got a few spare mirrors that need resilvering.

    Carl,

This has been covered. Do a search in the "Interior City" forum to find your answer. :beer

    Tell Scott I sent you.

If it is a non map light mirror they are being remade and can be bought from a Chevy parts house like Hinshaw's.

Mine was a map light mirror, it takes a little work to get the mirror out. You have to warm up the rubber part to get it separated. I used my small space heater.

I use a hair dryer and a wooden tongue depressor to insure not to injure the rubber ring. It is easy to mess it up.

After warming it up work the rubber back around the edge first before insertion of the depressor. You may want to applly heat several times as it softens the glue and facilitates the removal.

I have been very pleased with The Mirror Shop in Topeka KS. Give Dave a try. :TU:
