Erik, not only I would pay for the LPG (even the gas if you bring the Riv) and the toll, but you would also spend a couple of days in my country home near Chinon (40km after Tours, 280 Km from Paris).

Free bed, swimming pool, food and wine from Chinon region...

I will talk to Joko and let you know. What about an extended Week End by the end of September or in October ? And if Rob wants to join...The cellar is big enough for all of us.

Erik, I contacted Joko and will revert to him soon :beer . I still can't walk since I felt with the Harley early August, but I hope that after a surgery, my knee will be in a better shape to play again with our toys in a couple of month.

By the way, on my engine, all the red paint on the intakemanifold around the carb is burnt and gone. Does that mean something specific ? (reminder, my car drinks 1 liter of oil every 100 miles, compressions are not balanced, and the compression increases by 20% when putting oil in the cylinder with lowest compression. Bad smelling of burned oil insie the car when accelerating frankly, producing dark smoke at the exhaust).

    Jean-Luc,

Contact John again please, I think he already has a buyer for the engine.
But you can always lift your original engine and have it rebuild by John.
Nothing to worry about if the paint is gone in that area.
