I agree. Some said I was crazy for putting back in a white interior - and white top. I like the contrasting black and white (not too bright) and if I keep up with it cleaning wise it's a winner in my book. Mark
Glad to see this post. Thanks LouV for starting it. I also have a 72 GS with white interior and one other question I have is regarding the door jam windlace. I see the pictures posted one car they are black and the other they are white. Depending on where the car was built dictated which windlace was used? This white interior is a little confusing for me.
Don't know if location dictated windlace color. FTR mine were white to match the door panels. I personally don't see any other color being there since I highly doubt the door panels would be different color - and if that's true non-white windlace would look odd (to me). Mark
When I got the 72 I am working on now the windlaces were missing so trying to figure out which ones I need. I want to be correct as I can but this is going to be a driver not a high end concourse restoration so guess it really does not matter.
LouV I will get you some pics! Some how the car is in the middle / close to end of restoration (18yrs. ) Thanks to some snow in the Burgh. I have had some money to buy Black headliner Black carpet black Qtr. sill panel and Black speaker deck panel from Legendary Interiors. Purchased firewall insulation too. Also ordered all GM (RED) seat belts from The Parts Place from (Ebay). Tell me that won't irritate some people! oh well.
