Whis guage is better??

    Need an oil pressure guage. Whis is better or more accurate, mechanical or electrical??

    I like mechanical but if you use one replace the plastic line it comes with with a copper line! It will keep you from becoming a real greaser!

    There is no difference in accuracy between electric and mechanical gauges. But, the mechanical gauge usually has a 270* sweep vs. the 90* sweep of an electrical gauge. More lines on the mechanical gauge means you can read the gauge more accurately. I understand that some of the newer electrical gauges have wider sweeps these days. I like mechanical gauges, just my .02
