I finally took the time to lists the options that came on my car from the buildsheet.

Here is the (what's left of the) buildsheet:

From the list of options available, I filled in the gaps of the missing pieces of my buildsheet. The only thing I am unsure of, is the radio options. That side of the sheet is totally gone. I have no idea what was there either, because the previous owner ripped everything out and replaced it with a crappy aftermarket tape deck.

Here is the page I made for my car that outlines everything that it came with, and everything I've added. It also decodes my cowl tag and VIN number.

I had fun with this! I never thought digging around with option codes and production numbers would be so fascinating

    Wow website looks great! :TU:

Its to bad you'll never know for sure what radio you got, unless the Sloan Museum would have a documentation of that? :Do No: It's worth a shot right?

Their 71 books & info is shoddy at best...they've turned me down on looking up info.

That stinks, BTW are you still looking for a manual for the Centurion? I forget if it was a service manual, or something for just the B-body verts? :Do No: If so I might be able to help out

I'm looking for an assembly manual.

I already have a chassis manual and the chassis "new products" manual, the fisher body manual, and the convertible top manual. All I need is the assembly manual that tells me what colors are what and etc etc etc..

Ok, I'll keep an eye out for it when I go this spring to the Dupage County Fair Grounds BOP swap meet. Thanks :TU:

Adam, while reading your vin number on the new Centurion registry, last digits says 159487 while mines are 195734. As long as I remember there were a few thousands produced, does that mean Buick did not follow a sequencial number, or there is a typo between the 2nd and 3rd digits on either your number, or mine. Should it be mine, I need to check with the car as this is the number that sits on the official documents, and I would be in trouble to get it changed by the authorities!

I don't think that number applies to Centurions only...so there were tons of Buicks produced that year, and could easily account for hte difference in numbers.

If you look at hte cowl tag info, then the last numbers in that represent your Fisher body number, which is closer to the sequential Centurion build number.

Mine is 100710, so it was the 710th Centurion convertible built.
