i would use the intake without the egr personally, my 73 was a two barrell in the begining and i bought a 70 non egr intake works just fine. eliminate the proper hoses and youll be fine. at least i was:3gears: :3gears:

no i did not. i wasnt concerened about the air pump i just took it off. no reason for it without the egr dont think 72 or 73 had converters on them either. depends on originality, if that what your going for. im not, just speed ha ha:3gears: :3gears:

I got the same question. I have a 76 century 2bbl with all the crap. What year 4bbl intake should I look for?

Same thing jake, Id use an early non egr intake but you can still eliminate the egr with the later intakes.

I have a 80 4bb intake if you can't find an older one.

What would I have to do to elliminate the egr on that 80?

The heads have passages to allow ehaust air into the intake and I just blocked those off so there is no egr system and the intake runs cooler which leads to a cooler (denser, better) charge of air. 3"dryer duct also helps to get cool air in the motor from the grill.

If the heads have part of the EGR system, would I need new (or older) heads as well?
