    Hi,

Well, I blew out my heade gaskets....again. I went to Jegs and Summit Racing websites and see that there are three types of collector gaskets: paper, copper, aluminum.

Does anyone care to give their opinion of which is best. It seems like the copper ones would seal things up pretty good, but aren't reusable. The aluminum ones are reusable, but I'm not sure how great they would seal after the first time. Hmmm, which ones to get???

    Phil,
Header gaskets or collector gaskets. I just use the standard collector gaskets with a light coating of hi-temp RTV, never had a problem.

I'm talking about the collector gaskets under the car that go into the rest of the exhaust system. My headers are standard 1-7/8" going into a 3/5" collector. They are jethot coated.

I think I may try the aluminum ones from Summit. They're only $9.95. Maybe those with the hi-temp RTV.

    Hey Phil,

I've been using some graphit coated ones that HPC sells for the last 5 years..... I've had them in and out about 7 times now and they always reseal.... I believe they are 10 bucks too..... I've been very pleased with them.
