Would it be best to go with an auto store Airtex or get a nos AC (GM) brand pump?

I would have to order either, just wondering if the AC pump is built better.

    Car is a 72 skylark 350 w a/c.

    Thank you,
    Mike

I'd rather have an AC pump, especially if it was made here in the USA. Probably no way to know that though.

    Thanks Larry, appreciate the response.
The only thing that appears different in the pic is an additional plate riveted to the pump arm.
I wil order up the AC pump.

Where are you ordering that pump from?

The arm with the riveted plate is more desirable. i remember JW had a thread going where he offered to buy those arms out of old fuel pumps. Was for the BBB pumps though. Definitely go with the AC pump if you can get it.

The AC i bought off ebay, looks like a supply house buyout. There are a few carters listed as well.

The airtex isnt stocked localy anywhere near me, but advanced can have it in a few days.
