So i just got some t/a headers and im lookn to get the rest of my exhaust. Im interested in this kit: http://pypesexhaust.com/xpipes.html Does anyone have experience with pypes exhaust or have any feedback for me? Im opend to all recommendations for different kits. An "X" pipe is better than an "H" pipe right? Whats the difference? Im running a mildly upgraded 350, so what size would u recommend? 2 1/2 is what i was thinking. Thanks for the help!
An X-Pipe is for more HP and give you more flow, H-Pipe is for torque. Since you're gonna be running 2.5'' exhaust, I'm thinking an X-Pipe would be better. Now if you had 3'' with an H-Pipe, that would be killer :3gears:
I think that its been proven over and over again that the Xpipe will always make more power than an H pipe. In fact, Car Craft (or Hot Rod) did a test with a built Olds that track times were EXTREMELY close to that of open headers with the Xpipe and full exhaust, and the H pipe just wasn't nearly as close. I say 2.5" exhaust with an X pipe and some cool turbo mufflers and you'll be set to go :TU: 3" would be too big and you'd lose some low end.
Thats exactly what i was thinking, thanks. Any recommendations on a brand to buy? After reading the information on the pypes site i like what i see, but do any of u have any other recommentdations?
