I am on the market to get some disc brakes for my 71 lark but there are a couple of vendors to choose from iwas thinking about getting the 2 inch drop spindle kit from summit or ccp. with ccp i can get front and rear for <table bgcolor="#ffffff" border="0" cellpadding="10" cellspacing="0" width="100%"><tbody><tr><td bgcolor="#ffffff">67FRBKDMS</td> <td bgcolor="#ffffff">Drop Spindle Complete Front & Rear Disc Brake, kit</td> <td bgcolor="#ffffff"> </td> <td bgcolor="#ffffff">Photo/Info</td> <td bgcolor="#ffffff">$1,299.00</td> <td bgcolor="#ffffff"><!--NOEDIT--> Buy </td></tr></tbody></table>summit is around 6-700 bucks just for the front. Stainless brakes are about 800-900 just for the front what is the best way to go?
This is more work but you really clean up the suspension geometry. http://www.globalwest.net/ Read all of their stuff on handling and braking.
has anybody installed one of these kits and had to get anything extra to make the kit work? i'm lost on this one and need all the advise i can get
I purchased a kit off ebay. It is installed but haven't road tested it yet. I also installed tubular a arms and quick ratio steering box. I'm looking forward to testing it in a couple of weeks. I'll give you an update then, if you can wait 'till then. Harvey
