I am on the market to get some disc brakes for my 71 lark but there are a couple of vendors to choose from iwas thinking about getting the 2 inch drop spindle kit from summit or ccp.
with ccp i can get front and rear for <table bgcolor="#ffffff" border="0" cellpadding="10" cellspacing="0" width="100%"><tbody><tr><td bgcolor="#ffffff">67FRBKDMS</td> <td bgcolor="#ffffff">Drop Spindle Complete Front & Rear Disc Brake, kit</td> <td bgcolor="#ffffff"> </td> <td bgcolor="#ffffff">Photo/Info</td> <td bgcolor="#ffffff">
$1,299.00
</td> <td bgcolor="#ffffff"><!--NOEDIT-->  Buy
</td></tr></tbody></table>summit is around 6-700 bucks just for the front.
Stainless brakes are about 800-900 just for the front
what is the best way to go?

This is more work but you really clean up the suspension geometry. http://www.globalwest.net/
Read all of their stuff on handling and braking.

I purchased a kit off ebay. It is installed but haven't road tested it yet. I also installed tubular a arms and quick ratio steering box. I'm looking forward to testing it in a couple of weeks. I'll give you an update then, if you can wait 'till then.
