I Am A Frequent User Of This Site, And As I Have Looked Through All Of The Posts I Have Noticed That There Are Very Few 50's Buicks On Here. Where Did All Of Those Cars Go To? Are There A Bunch Scattered About The Country In Various Bone Yards, Etc..? Where There Just Not As Many Produced During That Time? Does Anybody Know? Anyway Here's My 56, I Haven't Seen A Whole Lot Of This Particular Model Around.

Yeah, not too many 50's owners here. V8Buick is mostly a 60's and 70's place. Not intentionally though. As Phil says, most that are online, probably hang out on the BCA board.

    George AFB

George AFB is not used as an airbase anymore, there are alot of businesses out there now, its actually called Southern Calif. Logistics Airport now, they have a huge airplane hanger where they refurbish commercial airlines etc... Its changed a lot up here in the high desert in the last few years, growing incredibly fast.

Bruce & Shirl recently aquired a 56 Special and the first weekend with the car they put it up on a dyno :eek2:
That puppy really showed us all something that day.
The HP numbers are being kept secret so as to not make the 455 guys jealous

    Nice 56 BTW :TU:

Yeah, I was out there right before it closed(with the afore mentioned ex-wife, she was current wife at the time) I heard that they had done lots with the place. It sure would be neat to see it now!
