Auto Barn, Autozone and Pep Boys only have the 561s and 562s

    I'm told they're not available

I know there has to be somewhere on there that has them.

    Any clues? :)

    TIA

oh... i thought since you posted this in the "boatload of fun" section that you were looking for a bulb for a FULL SIZED buick :Dou: ... like this bulb ....
i dont know the number of it ... it has a 211-2 stamped on the end.

    It is for Riviera

Got the 211-2's no problem. Rear courtesy lights work fine, just had to replace the door jamb switches.

Car is about 90% done, mechanicals 100%, working on interior lighting first to make sure no electrical problems. Car was disassembled and reassembled by prior owner so I got alot of little lighting pieces to get back inside.

Got the assembly in mirror, bulb pictured is what I'm looking for looks similar to 561 and 562. :)

    Now where to get 563s?

Go to NAPA with the bulb get a older guy there and he will match it up with a bulb of the same watts. He may have to order it. Put it in and put it on if you have a old cover put it on to make sure it is not to hot. It worked for me on the sail lights on my GS. :)

dont be surprised if the 563 is no longer made .... maybe they once made 561 and 563 bulb and then came out with the 562 to fit almost all of the applications of both bulbs except in rare instances where a 561 would still be needed ....
something silly like that would not be suprising.

I could probably send you a "used but good" one complete with the metal reflector shield as pictured. Got a bunch lying around.

i dont think you would want to use the bulb like i posted. since your cars have the metal reflector, it could short the 2 metal capped ends of the bulb together and blow the fuse every time the door was opened

    You guys are da best

thanks for offer. No need. Prior owner gave me boxes of extras. Found a lookalike bulb of picture, stuck it in receptacle - let there be light.

now all i got to do is find the sockets for the two front underdash courtesy lights and the interior electrical is done. :)
