Hi guys, Im new to this particular forum. Ive got a 66 skylark that Ive been working on for a while(up til now Ive been floating around on the small block tech section getting info about the 300 engine). Anyways, Im a good bit into the mechanical side and the exterior resto is in the near future. So ive got some questions about what vendors sell stuff, and or what cars(if any other than a skylark) can be used as a donor for parts. I need a grille, and im not sure what its called, but the whole headlight assembly on the driver side is in need of replacement. Everything from the chrome exterior piece that surrounds the lights to the piece behind the lights that the lights are mounted to. Do any vendors sell these parts, and can I get them from any other cars, or are they skylark specific. There is a buick special nearby at one of the yards. I wanted to buy the whole car a while back, but the guy said he will only part it out....which would be great if this stuff will interchange cause its all there and in good shape. Also, what about a hood? I dont need one, but it would be nice to have another.....maybe a fiberglass cowl hood or another steel ram air style hood......or if I did ever need a stock replacement it would be nice to know where I could get one(or what cars I can take one from).
