Hi. I should perhaps place this question in a more general forum directory, however Are there any recommended sites where I can find car ads related to Arizona and states around it? Well, except EBay of course.:bla: (Im searching for a nice Electra 1967 convertible and have Googled like crazy, so would like to find those sites which Google doesnt know about) Thanks
You can try cars.com and type in a Phoenix zip code then do a search within abouyt a 100 miles. You can try zip 85003 which is a central Phoenix code.
Thanks for the suggestions so far. I didn’t find any Electra 1967 on them except for one which I have contacted earlier (Unfortunately in to bad condition for me). Isn’t it possible to search the whole www.craigslist.org in one sweep? Think there are lots of nice ads hiding there around the states. I’m surfing Collectorcartrader.com now, nice design on the page. No Electra but fun to see lot’s of other cars which they list so nicely. Thanks, feel free to mention more sites.
This is an interesting question. From what I've read, the powers that be at Craigslist (likely Craig himself) wants to keep the searches "local", so he hasn't set them up to search multi areas. Now, that hasn't kept others from trying to do it themselves. I've heard of some that have had to cease doing it, because of how they did it. Or the Craigslist code was changed to prohibit them from doing it the way they did it. But you can go to http://www.craigshelper.com/ and do it. It's not the most fluid, but he's managed to keep it going for around a year or so and kept up with the Craigslist updates. It's not smooth as you have to go from one city to another instead of just a giant list. But hey - it's free!!!
Thanks. Thats the one I mentioned in the beginning. Nice look and price but turned out to be in to bad condition for me (based on the sellers information, they are however very friendly to talk with so I will recommend them to other buyers). Thanks. I tried it two times but it didnt find anything at all. Dont know if I did something wrong, I will try it again later.ou:
You need to plug in your search term in the upper box. Select your regions from the lower left box (upper one) and click add to send them in box for regions to be searched (either one at a time or hold the Ctrl key as you click multiples - just don't let go and click or it'll unclick the previous ones). After adding them to the region box, you can choose to pick your category. It defaults to the for sale section. If you've got Buick as a word in the search box, there's no reason to select the cars/trucks subcategory. You won't get many hits in other categories. If you're searching Mustang, you may want to select a subcategory. Hit Search Craigslist and it'll bring up the results window. Click the Next City link in the upper right after you've browsed the ads for the different cities. Keep going until you're out. The more involved your search term, the more you'll limit results and may miss something (like misspelled words, etc)
I can’t connect to http://www.craigshelper.com/ anymore, does it work for you? It sure is hard to find 67 convertibles. Either didn’t they make so many or so do all owner love them so much and keeping them to the real end.
6941 Electra 225 Custom convertibles were built for model year 1967. Model years 1959, 1960, 1963, 1965 and 1970 even had a lower total production figure for the Electra convertible model :Smarty:
I currently have a 1967 Electra 225 convertible that I was thinking of selling. I was going to wait until spring........but if someone really wanted it now........I would be willing to negotiate. Couple of details on the car for those interested............ 1967 Buick Electra 225 Convertible **98,000 original miles/Very strong running car with no smoke at all **Two owner car **Gold with Black top and black interior **A/C car (everything intact but not working) **All power windows work **Top is in perfect shape with Clear Glass back window.....Power top works fine **Drives like a dream down the road. **Very nice car as it sits that would take little to get in Fantastic Condition. For more info on the car for those interested............e-mail me @ gprjudge@gmail.com Hope this helps someone that may be looking. Tim
This car was sold on E-bay for just over $4,000. It now is listed in Iowa.........(same state it was bought in)........for $6,900 at the dealer in the link above. Mine appears to be in a little better shape than this one.
Something looked really odd to me about that car. Then it hit me. The rear quarters have been messed with, probably because of extensive rust. Note the wheel openings, no skirts either. The quarters seem poorly shaped.
Yes, they send me some more pictures. Rust and (for me) badly repairs on the floor etc. They also were emailing me 2-3times after I told them that I wasn’t interested due to the condition. Tricky to get it sold perhaps. But you show one yellow, just a compare example or have you found me an ad I haven’t seen?
Hello Conny, I have a 1967 Buick Electra 225 Convertible I have had since 1991. The car has been completely restored. Fire engine red with white top and interior, black carpet. All drivetrain components professionally restored as well as $10k paint work. The only thing left is the visor brackets to be rechromed. I could send pictures if desired. I am only interested in selling the car because I feel it is time for a change. thanks, Dan
Hi Conny, I am not sure if this will go to you directly as I have just now joined. Perhaps you will not receive this untill you log on again. I have posted a more detailed response to you at v8buick.com. thanks, Dan
Conny; Maybe you could tell us a little more about what condition your looking (or not looking for) and your budget so we could forward you any leads that would be interesting for you.
