I have an q-jet that someone gave to me, it came off a chevy, and the power piston arms are a little tweaked. I've tried straightening it but it still looks too funky for my liking. I've looked online and haven't had much luck. I know i could always buy a couple of junk carbs and hope to find some good parts, but i rather not spend the money and take a chance of coming up with nothing usable. Any ideas?
Yes, try Greg guessler at quadrajet parts.com. Or cliffshighperformance.com Or, come over to Boerne, I probably have some sitting around.
Not sure if Greg could help you. I'd call him. http://www.quadrajetparts.com/ Or maybe Cliff Ruggles, http://www.cliffshighperformance.com/parts.html http://www.carburetion.com/quadrajet.asp
Power pistons came in several varieties, a carburetor number is needed to make sure you get the right one. We have scores of them in used parts.....Cliff
