Where is everybody today?

I logged on at 7:30 and there was 3 people using the forum. Then again at 11:30 and there was maybe 6. Where is everyone today?

 

66 logged on now. maybe everyone slept in this morning... :sleep:

 

I was at work at that time(7:30). Right now, I'm enjoying my nice lengthy 30 min. lunch break.

I wish we all didn't have to work,otherwise I'd be on this board all day and all night!!!!

 

I was just on the phone concerning the status of the board with Mike, and we have made serveral changes here recently to aliviate the problems we have encountered lately. One change was and upgrade to the latest version of V-bulletin, and it appears that they may have re-defined the parameters of the who's online software. In the past, I believe we have seen echo's of folks online, who actually may have logged off. Mike said the online number of folks seems to be smaller since the last upgrade in software, and there was some mention of this in the press release for the latest version.

Right now, we have everything running smoothly, all database errors are gone, and the attachment situation should be resolved. Our host has also installed serveral new systems to monitor the board, 24/7, as in the past unless we notified them that it was down, they may not have been aware of it for a while. And with Mike and I both working a lot in our own seperate businesses, we may not be on here for a half or full day at a time, and if no-one calls or emails me.. I might not see that it is down, and alert the proper folks. I normally check in there several times a day, just to make sure it's up and running, but as spring approches and the demands on my time to finish up as much work here in the shop for spring/early summer increases, I find myself with less time to sit and play on the board here.

Let us know how the board is working for you all, hopefully we have it all sorted out now.

Folks:I copied this from another thread.. make sure you service your machine, before you alert us to "board problems".

Guys,

Clean out your history in your computer..

Remove all history pages, and cookies, and try it again.

There was some concern about having to log in everytime expressed to me by Mike yesterday, but it has remembered me on my home and work computer every time here today, and I have been on once at home at around 6:30am, and a couple times at the shop today.

To clean the history files out of your computer, if your using Internet explorer, go to tools, internet options, then delete the cookies and the files, after that, go down to the next dialoge box, and remove all the temporary internet pages.

Next, go back into 'settings' in the intenet options menu for cookies, and up will come a menu that asks "Always check for newer versions of stored pages", and make sure the answer "always" is selected.

In your options in the User CP on the forum here, the "browse board with cookies" option should also be selected, but it is the default, and unless you have changed it, it should not be a problem.
