    Hi
That would depend greatly on where you are located.
    Are you in the US?
    If so, what state?

You can get "crate" engines from Jim at Tri Shield Performance and TA Performance for sure. Pae Enterprises might have some available as well but I'm not sure.

    Jim Weise - Tri-Shield

I would call Jim W. @ Tri-Shield. He just finished up my 625 HP pump fuel S/S motor....he went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect and made me part of the process. He is truely a CLASS ACT.

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

    JW, Thanks for everything!:TU: :TU:

    look on
    <<www.recycler.com>>
There are often whole cars avaliable for $200-$800 asking prices. This is Southern CA, but it might be worth the drive for ya to come out & trailer home a big boat.

I bought my 72 skylark from the recyler in 98. Man that is an excellent paper. I was stationed in barstow at the time.

I have (or had - haven't emailed with him for about 6 months) a connection in Vancouver, CA for engines.

Last I checked they had a handful of Buick 455's. I don't have prices, but should be able to get some - assuming he hasn't left the job.

The place is a core supply company. They supply cores for rebuilds by the major rebuilders in the area. The thing is that they don't have much call for some of the older motors such as the Buicks, so they may be able to sell them to customers that aren't rebuilding shops.

If anyone is interested in something from them let me know. You would likely have to travel to Vancouver, BC to pick them up. I don't think they'll do any delivery.

    Hey CrazySwede.

What's your name? I'm about 25 miles south of you, and I have a good running stock 73 455. Leaks a little from the rear main, but that's easly fixed before it goes into your car. The motor has about 81k on it.

Let me know if your interested.
