Hi Guys, I want to put a quadrajet carburetor on my 455 big block with a performer manifold and was wondering where a good place to buy one is. I know that Jegs remanufactures them but I am not sure if that is a good way to go. I have heard that Jet does a pretty good job with them. Or would it be better to buy a used one and rebiuld it myself. Any suggestions would be great.

I have an Edelbrock 850 q-jet. Ran a 12.65 with this carb. Will come with 2 q-jet books and the complete Edelbrock tune kit. Will not look stock has a Chevy fuel inlet. This was set up by Dean Oliver when new. $250. Only a few thousand miles on it.

Not to be picky guys but my original untouched carbs are gold colored and the throttle blades are bare metal. Opposite of your picture. Just a public service announcement if any one plans on going concourse. A lot of people restore that way. No idea how that trend started.
