There's 2 mega theaters near my house. I don't go to movies much anymore because I don't care for all the action "movies" that seem more like a stationary roller coaster ride than film, but I noticed about a year or so ago they both put in leather type recliners with a tray tables. Nice stuff, must have cost a fortune.

However, every time I go into their bathrooms the toilets and trash are overflowing. You stick to the floor so bad your foot wants to come out of your shoe. You're lucky if one of the 3 soap dispensers actually has soap. In a word DISGUSTING. My guess is the cinema has no problem justifying to higher ups and the bank that they need a million dollars to renovate the seating, but nobody
is there to argue the case that they need to pay someone well above minimum wage to "own" the bathrooms and insure they are clean and well maintained. You see the same thing in expensive hotels, stores and restaurants. Fortunes spent in initial investment with little to no regard in maintaining the investment. Minimum wage gets you minimum care, but all these business grads only see the bottom line and nothing else. They would question why it would be necessary to have somebody other than the pimple popping kid who pops the corn clean the bathrooms.

Maintenance is always the first budget cut, and should be the last item to be reduced.
