Where are my rear seat belts..65 Rivi......

Hi Guys , trying to put one back together after a redo and cannot find my rear seat belts.........cannot beleive I have misplaced them ,but don't remember taking them out. Was the car made with rear seat belts or has someone removed them..........thanks.......John

 

John, the holes are there but it was an option that is rare.

Thanks Tel, I was pretty sure they did not come with the car and were not removed. I installed the foil backed carpet underlay and did not see any seat belt holes in the floorpan......any idea when they became factory installed on alll models...........J

 

John, there are seat belt bolt holes. They are covered with rubber plugs which are hard to see unless your looking for them. 1968, I believe was the 1st. year.

 

Rear belts became standard equipment for the 1966 model year.
