Looking for a 73 Gran Sport, don't really care if it's a 350 or 455 car, but it needs to be a presentable driver, or a car with really nice paint that needs motor/interior work. I don't have time for a body/paint project. Thanks, Tom
It is not really an option for you to buy one in Europe. Just to give you an example: this 73 GS (455) is for sale here; asking price 8500 euros (approx. $11.500) :eek2:
Tom, This was listed on Craigs List in Detroit area. I don't know anything about it, just saw it while searching. http://detroit.craigslist.org/pts/816737009.html Don
AGAIN??? jeez tom, didn't you sell ONE OF THE NICEST 73s I have ever seen, just last year? YOu might consider bladerunners 74-he has lowered the price a lot over the past year, its even more rare than a 73, and you could mothball the mathcing numbers engine if you wanted to race it.
Thanks Don, Chris(cjp69) emailed me that link this morning as well. Hi Scott, yeah, I sold a pretty nice 4spd car, but it was due to a small financial crisis. *I think* I'm sitting a little better now, so I'm looking again. Bladerunners 74 is nice, but out of my price range. I'm looking for more of a driver quality car that is presentable. All I have to do is wait it out for the right car to pop up for sale. I have a line on a pretty nice(unfinished resto) that I may be going to look at this weekend. Definately needs to be a 73 though. I don't care for the rear talights on the 74's compared to the 73's. Wow, thats kind of funny, and almost like a stepchild 68-69 owner not liking the other year carou:
"Definately needs to be a 73 though. I don't care for the rear talights on the 74's compared to the 73's" I DUNNO TOM- you aren't going to have it long enough to notice the tail lights that much, are ya? and if it turns out like some of your other iron (im thinking about that gorgeious firebird you did right now and also that green GS you just sold!) only OTHER people are going to be looking at the tail lights!!! LOL -- luck on your search, I'd like to see you finally race one of them.
Here is a 73 GS that will turn some heads. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buic...mdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6142QQitemZ280256412642
This is a green/green bench seat 350 basic car. No engine/trans. It was mine 10 years ago. I gave it to a friend of mine. He never did anything with it. Now it's for sale. I towed the car from Woodstock, GA. to MI. It was basically rust free 10 years ago, who knows now o No:
Why don't you just buy Mike Z.'s car? Didn't he offer it to you? It's about as nice as they come...a few days of putting it together and, voila, instant show car!
Mikes car seems sweet from what I hear. Sounds like just what you are asking for. Some elbow grease, all the parts, no body work needed. (You did say that was a priority) I did not offer my black 4 speed to you cause it needs a paint job, and a interior Dye job. Car runs like a dream and I probably would not sell it. Mikes car would be less expensive by far when you would be done!
Here's one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buic...019QQitemZ290262083359QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW Kurt
Thanks for the heads-up guy's, but I forgot to update this post and mention that I bought a 73 Stage1 4spd last weekend.:TU:
