when buying connecting rods/pistons...

    when buying new rods or pistons, do they indicate which cylinder they belong to? if not, how do u know where to put them? thx in advance.

    new out of the box, does not matter which cylinder u install them in.

    It only matters when you are re-using parts.

    Usually one side of the big end of the rod will have a bigger chamfer than the other,this side will be oriented towards the journal's shoulder.The side with the smaller chamfer goes adyacent to the other rod in that journal.H
