I'm not much of a drinker, beer even less, thou I do pick up a case of SA Octobrefest every year. Rest of the year I stick to the Patron and Gran Marnier Margaritas.
My regulars were Yuengling (premium, lager or porter) and Sierra Nevada. For a treat, Victory Hop Devil IPA or Victory Imperial Stout. Currently my go-to is unsweetened ice tea.
Stella is my Budweiser. Budweiser is swill. I sure got spoiled living in a city with an infinite selection of beers.....
To add to my previous comment a few pages back, at my bachelor party, we went to the Red Lion Tavern in Glendale. I had some Warsteiner Dunkel that was outstanding. I'm drinking a Double Bastard Ale at the moment. I got it at BevMo; I had thought that it was not available this late in the year, as Stone Brewing usually reserves it for winter, and sells the Old Guardian in the summer months (which is what I was actually looking for). Yummay!
Never heard of "Moose Drool", but have had "Moosehead" out of Newfoundland (I think), and it wasn't bad.
I voted for Yuengling, but sometimes when I'm firing up the grill or smoker, I grab a 12 pack of these Mexican beers. I developed a taste for Mexican beer on a trip to Cozumel a couple of years ago. The local grocery store has these 12 packs for $12.99!
I also enjoy a good quality Canadian beer from time to time. If you ever get the chance try Molson Ice. On tap is best if you can find it but bottled is almost as good. When I lived in Mn. I could find it sometimes but now being down in Fl. Almost never. Cliff
Hey Marc, Is that Pepsi machine the type that hangs the bottles by their necks and you slide them out?
Yup, it is; and modern bottles (especially beer bottles) don't have the same diameter neck as the old ones did, these tend to slide through if you're not careful. Just recently found the change machine for the side of it; - debating whether to hang it up and charge a nickel a piece...
Tegernseer Not on the list, but tastewise it should be on the very top. I doubt it is plentiful available in US/CAN though.
Nope, haven't seen "Tegernseer" over here; - I'll look for it though...so what makes the taste special, the water is from the Tegernsee? And, for all you English speakers, the word "hell" in German means "light" or "bright", as in not dark, and not what you may think it means.
