Lots of great ones out there and I'm sure many like the GN Bad to the Bone series, because of George Thorgood tune - and that feel and cool fashion sense , but I like when they say "200hp no time for clones" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSJ8eoaCd6E&feature=related here's my favourite its for the 64 Riviera, and sure wouldn't be aired today - but in 64 it was Ok for cars to be a guy thing - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXrik24aLvQ "Riviera By Buick a great and rare machine that a woman can admire and enjoy to the fullest , but only a man can really understand .. I even made my own version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRxvaj8atCI funny thing is in the fifties a women's opinion as far as the value was more important http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJji...SP98EE1B309AFF38F7&lf=list_related&playnext=0 and of course being a boattail guy I like this one just because it about a boattail, even though the greatest commercial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFuzt86ouGo here's some boattail ads brochure pages set to the song something to believe in. http://www.youtube.com/user/robs71redriv#p/u/19/sFuzt86ouGo Whats your favourite and why???
I'll have to ad the uncle Milty show - ads, maybe that's why I have always liked Mr Berle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_Lw...SP98EE1B309AFF38F7&lf=list_related&playnext=0
1978 Buick Turbo advertisement, it goes something like this: The other cars were a Saab and a Porsche. I like it because it shows that back in 1978 Buick was already on the right track with small V6 engines and turbochargers :TU:
Hey Devon, I like the '64 Riv better then the '67 Cat, but the wine glass ad is great. To me, any great Buick ad has to end with the "when better cars are built..." tag line. I simply do not understand why they don't still use it much.
Talking about wine glasses - in the 73 Riviera promo film Rob H has ( maybe he'll make a CD of it and the others he has someday) they used a wine glass on top of a Riv 455 Stage 1 air cleaner to show how smooth it was compared to a "competitors car" (a ford, most likely a T-bird) These are really neat and gives tons of info - a small bit of the 75 Riv one is on his youtube page - full versions are 5-7 minutes long http://www.youtube.com/user/75RivGS?blend=2&ob=5#p/u/2/YyYIbbAF5gw
