'72 Riv "convertible", can you spot what's wrong with this picture?

 

its not a buick engine

olds?

 

its not a buick cause the distributer is on the back of the motor and the alternator is on the wrong side

 

as far as what type of engine i dont know

 

its an olds 455 motor

Yup, Olds 455. For me, the giveaway is the Olds front oil fill behind the rad hose (plus the one on the valve cover?)

It has cruise control, or at least part of it.

 

Looks like an Oldsmobubble engine to me also.

 

Definitely an Olds motor. I have one just like it sitting in my field.
