Ozone is a naturally occurring gas in the atmosphere to one degree or another. It is created anytime you have an electrical arc, like in an electrical motor, or after a lightning storm. It's also common in "smog". During the summer, part of the weather report here is an occasional "ozone alert" for people with breathing difficulties like asthma and such.
While our quality control equipment ran the gamut we also sold a few of the ozone generator test machines to artificially expedite the degradation process so you didn't have to wait years to see how a product reacted or held up to prolonged exposure. Dry rotting is negated if the application is on a daily driven vehicle as it is replaced due to normal wear and hence ain't around fer no dry rotting and no one but us collectors are the wiser. Thus endeth my conspiracy theory, greetings and salutations and may you have only happy Happy joy thoughts
So let me get this straight about the CLOSED-LOOP mind-set..........Recycle rubber into new things instead of using New rubber to reduce its Footprint, but by making these items last 10x less longer the Consumer must purchase the same item 10x more meaning the product must be made 10x more .....Thus not merely destroying the Footprint reduction purpose in the first place, but actually growing it exponentially? My mind just exploded.......
Guess you felt if that was Joy, what was Sorrow like? Wish the girls wouldve been Faith, Hope, and Charity! Even her kid (now 33) says "Moms still just not right..." Two guys I knew from high school dated her (Im talking mid '80s) and the last guy that she had a blazing affair with while we were married, ALL ended up blowing their brains out. I came to that very same fork in the road but made a left. Typically me, I felt that with a good secure job with total benefits, a nice house, new car and a feeeling of security and some serious counseling, she would come around. Didnt happen. Six months ago she married #6. We'll see how that one plays out... for better or worser. ws LOL
If possible, use silicone hoses & vacuum line. Good quality silicone will not wear out, crack, or dry rot. Avoid the cheap stuff. On my turbocharged cars, I switched to Sard silicone vacuum lines, and they never split or crack. I've been using silicone windshield wipers since I first found them when stationed in Japan. They cost more to buy, but can last for years. I use Piaa, when I can find them.
