Hi, I'm a newbie and I just recieved this car on a trade alog with another. It is a 65 Buick Gran Sport. I has 44k original miles with a 401c.i. motor. It also has the two four barrel carb set-up on it. The motor was rebuilt less than 200 miles ago. It has a automatic (powerglide) in it and I have documentation on the actual miles. The body is extremely solid and straight. Some of the chrome could be redone, but the paint is flawless. I'm not really sure if I want to sell cause the car drives like a dream. I am just curious on what these cars are going for. I'm still trying to educate myself on buicks because I have two camaros and am a chevy man at heart. Any comments or opinions are welcome.

    Thanks,
    Brian

    Brian,
Whatever you do hang on to it! I do not know it's exact value but I can tell you that by the time the experts on these 65's respond you are gonna be one happy camper!

Looks like it's in great condition. Don't sell it, use it as a sunday driver. It'll only go up in value. :TU:

Thanks for the comments....how would one go about verifying all the numbers on this car. Is there a book or web site that would help me out?

Verifying the numbers on a Buick is kids play compared to doing the same on a chevelle. on the front of the engine right behind the water crossover tube on the block you will find the last 7 digits of the VIN number stamped. look where the valley cover meets the block near the drivers valve cover, also there will be an LR stamped on same area but near passenger valve cover. as far as Value i have seen several really nice 65 GranSports sell for around 12000.00 --15000.00 in the last few months one was a 4 speed and the rest were cars similar to yours. drive a Stock 65 Chevelle SS and then drive your 65 GS and you'll wonder why you didnt get a Buick Sooner. wheels?

Did the GS come with ralleys or these hubcaps. If I were to change to ralleys what size would be correct?
