    NO Not another bloody volvo...This car is close to me,so might have a look.
    Whats with the z code engine??
    I have asked the seller to send me all the numbers etc.
    Are the three speed boxes any good for abuse??
    I might be able to justify buying it seeing how I sold my 69 camoro vert....but I was thinking about another mopar. Over here these Skylarks or any other BUICK rarely come up for sale anywhere.
    What do you guys think about this car....not about the price?? :beer

    Well,
    looks like a Buick Special (see taillights) with the standard small block (300 C.I.). The car used to have a column shift which could have been a 3-speed or an automatic. If I remember correctly, the "Z" in the VIN means it's a Fremont, California built car. The radiator isn't stock either, but it's probably a bit harder to get the correct parts for these cars down there in OZ.

    Wasn't the Fremont factory in Ohio ?

    And no 340 CI engine for model year 1965
    I also like the 340 litre engine size in the description, that's 20740 CI :error:

    Nope, that is Fremont, California near the San Francisco Bay. My current '65 GS and my previous '65 'vert were both "born" there.
    Yes, 340 litres is quite the displacement!

    posted VIN is: 434675Z102409
    Let's break it down....
    4/34/67/5/Z/102409
    4=Buick (GM Division)
    34=Special V8 (Series)
    67=2 door convertible (Body Code)
    5=1965 (Model Year)
    Z=Fremont, California (Assembly Plant Code)
    102409=2,408th one built that year (sequential production number starting with 100001)
