i,m converting my collum mount shifter to a hurst v matic on the floor. i was thinking of just unplugging the wires from the switch at the base of the collum then hookin up the 2 purple wires to the switch on the new shifter will this interfere with the power from the ingnition switch? can i do the same for the backup lights?
