1965 Buick GS Convertible with the dual quad intake.
Silver with black top and red interior.
Guy's asking $16,000 and it isn't perfect but it's a nice piece. He bought it about 5 years ago and parked it.

well, somebody has to go first, might as well be me.

if its been sitting for 5 years, that may be just a little high, but it depends on condition. i would expect to have to put a few bucks in it since its been sitting, but it all depends on the chrome, body, and interior IMO. those are the things that are hardest to fix. if those things are top notch, and it just needs tires, tune up, and battery, etc, then it sounds like a bargain. hard to find nos chrome and trim for the 65, but what a fine year to have. if buying a 65, i would buy the nicest one i could find since parts are so rare.

IMO the 65 is the best looking year except for the 70. when you consider the price of a resto, its probably a good deal at 16K.

16K wont buy much in the new car or truck world, and new ones only go down in value, so check it out and maybe go for it.

    Henry,
I agree with your opinion. I would add that I would check out the frame bends for repair and make sure of any body work.... ie, rockers, weld points, trunk etc. Otherwise if it is a good solid car it could go for that much. I have looked at many 65's and they have the old problem of rust and being restored it is good to know about the bottom side. Also if it has A/C, buckets, power windows etc. that would be a big difference in price. Right now with the economy the way it is prices can be up and down depending on the condition of the car and options. Just my 2 cents.
