Well you can do it two different ways...depends on how cheap you want to go.

    1) first you need a 3 series (posi or open peg leg) carrier 2.73 3.08 3.42 3.73 and up use them. bolt that 3.08 or 3.42 to the 3 series and set the ring and pinion up.

    2) use the exsisting carrier with a spacer (one with proper bolts and washers if needed) bolt the 3.08 or 3.42 sandwiching the spacer between the carrier and the ring gear and then set it up same as the 3 series instructions.

Obviously this is if you know what your doing on a gear set-up...but I would have to say since you do not know what is involved in the 2 -3 series thing - you problably do not know how to set -up the gears. Now that does not mean you should not or can not. This is america and if you want to do and learn go for it. It may cost you but we all learn some how and if you do not try you will never know. I will try to answer any question you might have to the best of my knowledge. If I can not help I am sure roger or some other guru can pop in and help. Good luck and we are hear for you. Jim
