A local body shop has a '76 Electra w/455 that's been sitting for years, and it's for sale. It's got rust, about 80k original miles, loaded, interior is shot, and supposedly ran when parked. They said they would jump start the car if I wanted to hear it run. I was thinking about picking it up for a winter beater if it will pass PA inspection, then once the salt kills it, yank the 455/TH400 and put it in something else. The guy just says "make an offer", won't give me a price. He said "I'm sure I won't get what I want for it" which leads me to believe that this guy thinks the car is actually worth something. What would be reasonable? I was thinking like $300-$400-ish Thanks!
