Talk about ugly! Take a look at the interior of this one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buic...m14QQhashZitem120273801074QQitemZ120273801074
Maybe he/she ran out of $$$$$$$$$$$, or they wanted to use up that old den panelling - can you say 'fugly' ? o No:
Geez, Tom, they stole my idea.:af: Now I'm gonna have to come up w/something else...t-111 maybe?
Good lord - that interior is even worse looking than the gator skin interior I saw on another car a while back.
I would be willing to bet that the door panels were done that way back in the 70's, along with the old cherry bomb glass packs. The wheels are also a dead giveaway to the time period. years ago, my dad had a 78' Chevy van that had the same wheels and that same paneling in it. Customizing shops used to do that stuff all the time Pretty minor stuff imo
"The wooden door panels give this a slight custom interior look without going over the top." Can't possibly fathom what he considers "over the top."
If I'm not mistaken, twolfingers door panels were kinda wavy and may need replacement...I think he's jealous:bla:
door panels and seat covers from Legendary...seriously, I can think of a bunch more troublesome issues
KC, seems you are being literal on this one, do you have the same panels???:Brow: Steve, i am quite jealous. I thought for sure mine was going to be original. I think I saw on an episode of Underhaulin, Chip Suess was the designer! Hilarious stuff. Looks like a good car though, minus the Brady Bunch basement decor. Easy fix, just BEDAZZLE IT!!!!:moonu: :moonu: :moonu: :moonu: :moonu: :moonu: :moonu:
What struck me is the rest of the car looked more or less original, short of the aforementioned glass packs. Nick
Naw, I agree it looks hideous, but with all of the junk floating around out there, I think some folks get a little overly harsh on some otherwise solid cars. This one appears to be survivor from an era that brought us such fashion blunders as bell bottoms and snorkel hood scoops. The car is pretty darn complete and just needs a fashion makeover to remove the circa 76' customizing
Pledge!!!!!!!!!!! I just broke a rib laughing at that comment! hilarious stuff. Bell bottoms were a blunder? ****, I need to update my wardrobe. KC, you are right though, this sure does look like a very complete car in very good shape and for a few bucks, you have one sweet ride. I wish my project cost as little to be done. :gp:
