My 70GS455 will be coming out of the bodyshop in a few weeks. I had a set of steel wheels made with the proper off set 15/7 on the fronts and 15/8 in the rear. Which I plan on installing dog dishes for that old school look. What tires would you guys go with ? And where can I find the best deal on them ?

Take a close look at Dunlop tires,,, they are old line and I have had excellent service with them..... they look like they belong....

If you can find a Firestone dealer that can get Lemans SR , they are a great tire for the price. They are on my car in my avatar.:TU:

I've got yokohama's on mine. made in the USA too. However white lettering out many may not like to see a "foreign" companies name on them.

Looking at them all I think I'm leaning toward the BFG's. When the car comes home I'll post some pictures.

I love the grip of my Nitto 555 series tires. One of the best on road performance tires i have ever used.

Frequently, COSTCO does the 4 for the price of 3 tire sale on the BFG T/As in our sizes. The sale price is cheaper than tire rack. Watch for the sale, usually 2X a year in our area. I take the tires to my tire guy for installation however to ensure my GS wheels are not damaged. PS: I do let Costco install tires on my drivers and have not had any issues.
