what this plug is for?

    I am missing this plug on my motor?

  2. That's the coil right? I read in a Buick manual that they mounted the coil in a number of different places depending on the car that the engine was going into. You have a coil...it's just mounted somewhere else. (I think mine is horizontal on top of the intake manifold)

    It's an ignition wire.
    Goes from the coil to the center of the distributorcap.

    If you don't have it your motor won't run. So I guess you have it in another location.

    not I'm shure I dont have a plug there, I have a hei distributor now. It is for the old distributor system ? point system I dont know In english the name for that

    CIT Poweraddict, help me

    If you have a HEI, you don't have the coil and wire. They are built into the HEI.

    not neccesarily there are two kinds of HEI ignition internal and external internal = coil in cap external = coil outside of cap
