Is this just me or is he trying to sell half a caddy? Sure is an easy restoration. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6152&item=2478456876&rd=1 Look at the pic top of middle column, its half a car! ____________ Rob 1972 Riviera
Looks like a Hemi to me, but shows what I know, also looks like 95% of the car is there, and 95% shot
Barf :moonu: :moonu: Now thats a real project. Maybe I should get it for the wife. After all it's pink:laugh: Did you notice the date stamp on the back seat photo Jan 11 1998. Wonder what it looks like now o No: A Hemi in a Caddie ou: Someone will buy this which proves the old saying "there's an ass for every seat" :TU:
Should we warn the buyer?:Brow: I would sure hate to end up with half a car. You? ____________ Rob 1972 Riviera
The drivers door is open, so it looks like the rear of that car is missing. But just look good and you see a tailfin. <img src="http://i8.ebayimg.com/02/i/01/ce/c8/08_1.JPG"> Also 2 doors on this photo: <img src="http://i21.ebayimg.com/01/i/01/ce/6b/df_1.JPG">
That is an early Chrysler or Dodge "Super Red Ram" Hemi from early to mid fifties. Probably the seller got this photo mixed in with the Caddy pics, although someone could have transplanted it into the Caddy a long time ago.o No: Tom
sure enough. i took a look and the engine pic is a dodge super red ram hemi, about 1955. i wonder if he got the pics mixed up or somebody put that thing in there. very strange. henry
Just that intake is probably worth a pretty penny. Not sure what it is, but never seen one before...probably a race piece. Engine would be cool, but you can get them from P.A.W. pretty reasonable...."Hemi" at least, not "Red Ram" ....same thing...?
Its a photo.....You guys know photos play tricks on ya....I have plenty of UFO photos but many people say I am nuts....Cmon a UFO....Same thing here...That car is all there...Would be a fun car to restore....O why couldnt I have that in my garage...Anyways there is my2 cents Later gearheads, AND always go fast with class!!
adam yes, same thing in this case. not all hemi's of that era are super red rams, but this one is. dodge produced the super red ram from 1956-1958. it was 315 cid in 1956, 325 cid in 1957 and 1958. i would need some numbers off the engine to tell exactly what year it is. henry
