LOL, okay, so we have a 67 Buick, a 70 Buick valves and a 71 Buick block so that is at least 3 of the old Buicks, I wonder how many in total were used to put this together??

The reason he puts GSX in the lising is he thought it would flag more people's searches and they would stumble on his auction by accident getting him views.

He knows it's not a GSX.

You should make a living out of that mind-reading gift, Ken :TU:

I think Ken is right. It's like the ads are selling a regular 70 GS that go:

1970 Buick GS 350 4 speed,- GSX, Yenko, SS, GTO, Judge, 442, Cuda

The other names are there to cross reference the car into categories where people are looking for Camaros, GTOs, Chevelles, Cudas, etc. It's pretty smart marketing.

This is the FOURTH time it has been on Ebay, I have been bidding on it and have talked to the guy MANY times about the car, I am high bidder on it again I see. The guy that owns it is a Mopar guy, he wants to get rid of it for some more car money. Its fairly solid but it does need lots of works, lots of EXSPENSIVE work...he says it didnt have a vinal top, sure looks like it did from the pics. I could give a S**T which big block it has in it, if I get it when I am done with it it will LOOK like a 430 outside, and be as modified inside as possible. I like the color combination [ blue , black interior ] and that its a bucket seat car. I noticed the heater core is bypassed in the photos, rear corner on drivers side looks odd in photos...anyone notice anything else ??????? I told him the GSX listing was queer, but like you all have pointed out, its a marketing ploy..
Seems like a good guy on the phone and emails.....I would have bought it already if I was a little more flush with cash, I have an uncle in Florida I could have the car taken to his place until I have the $$ to ship it to Maine....

Just what I need , ANOTHER project !

Any info for me guys ???

I'm not mind reading smart a$$ with a "S".

It's quite obvious. I think people just love to jump on the bash bandwagon too often. I've been guilty of that too, but I'm trying to tone it down, because I know if I posted an auction, only to come on here to find people bashing me, I would be a bit pissed.

How many times have you seen someone post an auction for something and have 20 different things in the title? Do you think they are all that confused?

That's the famous Buick Star Wars air cleaner. Could be the original from the car in question.

According to the current owner , yes it is.

I suppose I am going to have to buy that car...*sigh*

I do understand what you mean by the cross marketing, but when looking at the way the title is written, it almost makes the owner not credible from the get-go.

I also understand the jumping on the bashing bandwagon is not cool and do agree. They say you learn something new everyday, today was my day.....

    Not Yet

No, I have not bought that Riv yet, owner really needs to see around 2800-2900 for it, I just have soooooo many projects right now, and in central Maine the cash is not flowing right now, snow is, cash is not ! :(

The Riv seems worth it to me, a guy in the snow/rust/rot belt of America, maybe to the rest on here and Ebay it is not. I have to finish up this Mercedes project first, and I really wanted to start on one of my GS's and I still have to resurect one of my trucks so I actually have a parts mobile, and my daily drivers are all acting up....*sigh* :Dou:

I still want the Rivi pretty bad though, I turned down a solid El Camino yesterday just because I had this Riv on my mind.....

I need a miracle, or at least a sign, other than a "stop sign"...
