I've been running Champions, was considering trying out the E3 Diamond Fire come spring.

I use either Delco or Autolite; supposedly Ford's Motocraft are the best, and am told that Champion is still having quality issues, at least up here in the Canadian market. From what I've heard, Bosch Platinums are not recommended for them, and NGK has issues.

Heyyyy, Fomoco sent me to school for a solid year, the last year i was in high school.... did not cost me a penny.... They really put us through it... we had a new 1962 Galaxy, a falcon, a tbird to work on and when the year was over we had taken them all apart and put them back together again, and the shop manual sets were free,,,, then when we got to the final tests , my partner and I took a cruseamatic transmission apart [800moving parts] and carefully laid it all out in the correct order on clean butcher paper, then the instructers said ''lets take a coffee break''.... we did... and when we got back they had taken the parts and thrown them in a empty 55 gallon drum and then they told us to put it back together again.... and it had to work.... :Brow: :Brow: The reason that I stick with those plugs goes back to that school alright,,, in the class that we had on ign... the instructer told us to bring our favorite spark plug to the next class new, in the box.... we did and i brought my champion, because my grandpaw alwayse used champion plugs.... and they had to be the best..period...
In class they had us to gap them to specs,,, and then one at a time we put them in the Sun machine and tested them.... and the motorcraft plugs that Ford sold fired 20 lb higher pressure than any other plug.... so I started useing them and have ever since....
After the year was over Ford shredded those cars....

Interesting! I'm a Senior and I just took the Ford and AAA test to see if I'm good enough to get into the competition...I doubt it but thought I'd try.
