Trying to help someone determine what size rear swar bar to use so that the 71 GS handles well. What would be a good brand that works well? This is going to be used on a cruiser. The front bar is a 1 1/4".

I think most people have a 1" rear. If you don't have one now, be prepared to be stunned by the handling improvement.

One of my buddies just put a 1" with all poly bushings on the rear of his 72 skylark and that things handles soooo much better now. BIG improvement.

On a GS with 245 60 15 tires on all four corners the stock 1 inch rear bar with a 1.25 inch front bar really makes the car neutral compared to the stock oversteer configuration - it is fun to drive since you can really open the throttle through a corner. I've found that the same bar setup with a wider 295 50 15 rear tire causes the car to understeer.

Thank you-all for the opinions. I put in the 1" sway bar today. Hope the owner likes it.
