What size fuel cell do you run at the track? (Gallon size)

Since this year will be another stellar year of no travelling to events, I will move forward on my racecar project. I have lots of labor type work(no money cost) that I can do.So, I have decided I can possibly have the car assembled and the glass parts trimmed and re-mounted back on the car.I will also have the cage final installed, painted and hopefully start to wire the car's electrical. Now,on to my question, I will not be street driving this car as I realized you can't have the best of both worlds.I have the braided -8 fuel line run from the rear to the front and have it connected to a stock tank(71) that has been sumped, cleaned, pressure tested etc. I am thinking I want to remove it and sell or trade for a fuel cell. I currently have a fuel cell (8 gallon)that I can use,but I don't really want to cut a big hole in the trunk. Surprisingly,my trunk is in really exceptional condition.I have been looking at the flat bottom cells that have the fittings at the bottom. I'd rather have 3 holes in the trunk floor than a big hole. I am wondering what size cell would best fit my application then? Would another 8-10 gallon be too big? I am just trying to plan on having enough to keep the car going incase I have to go a couple rounds back to back. I would like to hear experiences and opinions. If I can sell my sumped tank, is there a way to ship it? It hasn't had gas in it for 5 plus years or since being sumped, but it was a nice used tank prior to sumping it.

    Pat,
Use the sumped fuel cell.....Simply build a frame that elevates it enough to where the sump is above the floor. Then you can mount your fuel system in the trunk out of the dirt and debris and you use one bulkhead fitting out of the trunk to the engine/regulator.
I tried a flat-bottom cell when I first built my car and soon realized I needed the sump,The outlets on the flat cell would actually uncover if you tried to run it w/ less fuel.
