Since I love my Rivvies, I was wondering which boattail parts will soon be made of "unobtainium". Also are the rear windows still available from any vendors or are they only from parted out cars?????

I have a set of perfect NOS taillight chrome for a 71 Riv in the box. If anyone knows how to reproduce it, we could make a lot of Riv owners happy. Ron:Brow:

I don't smoke, and I'm allergic to shrimp. Nice try, though!

Door handles that aren't broken would be nice to have. Fender emblems that aren't pitted can be tough to find.

    Damn...

How about those loooong armrests on the doors that crack like the dickens... (what the hell is a "dickens"!?!)

Vacuum dashpots for the cruise control? The rubber can't be replaced? (that's gotta be bunk... I hope)

anybody have rear interior light covers? (on the C pillar... or is it a B pillar? I'm confused) mine are disintegrating.

Passenger-side inner fenders with no rot?

    Battery Trays?

What about those wierd egg-crate kind of mud-flap-looking things that bolt to the bottom of the inner fenders?

Center caps for the factory mags? I have a brand new set and I'm afraid of actually putting them on.

I guess some of this stuff is available. I'm not sure what qualifies as "unobtanium". How about 9 3/8" Posi 3.42:1 rears?

I have repop fender badges, trunk badges, center caps, lugnuts, all from eBay or online. If someone would make door handles, that would be sweet (Toronado fans would rejoice as well). The holy grail for me would be the trunk lock ornament. Anyone know of someone repopping those?

How the heck do you get a trunk lock emblem off without breaking it?

It was pretty easy to put on...

There's a plate on the underside of the trunk lid you take off. unbolt the latch mechanism. pull out the flat bar that goes from the lock to the latch. Then unbolt the lock.

    I think that's all...

CARS have those... search for courtesy ( :Do No: but that's how they advertise 'em) lenses. Around $40 for a pair.

We all have similar wants. I wish someone would step up and make the ext. door handles and the long interior door armrests! Mine are still pretty good but one day............We also need posi units and rear int. light lenses. It also took me a long time to find a good console lid that wasn't cracked. The dash pads crack in the usual places too so hold on to a good one. What about climate control pieces? They are tough to find.

That back window will be a bitch to find one day. I kept 2 spares.

Has the rear interior lamps. I would love to find a Posi rear and door armrests.
It wouldn't let me post the link though.

    Hi,
I have a 67-70 posi listed in the parts for sale, 3:41 gears, and a great set of arm rests for a 70 Riviera.

I think it is the 71 to 73 rears and door panels we all crave. I was lucky to find a 3.42 posi, but still search in vain for an uncracked drivers side lower door panel. I do have two 2.93 posi units, if anyone is looking.
