I've built a 66' Skylark with a 455 4 speed but can't seem to find the right gears for the rear. The rear in it now is a 3.36 which seems to wind up to quick. This is a slightly modified street car so I'm not concerned about ET's.
I have a 3.08 12 bolt available but think that might be to high. Any suggestions? Also 8.2, 8.5, 8.75, for a street car which is best?
    Thanks, OJ

A 3.08 would work great and give you a little better milage, a taller tire can do the same thing though.
