Need an image or link to a correct-for-1970 Stage 1 please. The sea of available caps has my head spinning. Should I "never remove hot" or "remove slowly"? Did a brief keyword search but you'd be surprised how many threads include the words "radiator cap" lol.
It is the one with the blue stripe. There are 2 different types, the ones with the serrated cover, which were originally the NOS replacements, and the ones with the smooth edge covers. Both have been acceptable but if you get one of the smooth ones you would be better off. That was the style that originally came on the cars. Duane
Original RC29 cap on my '70. Smooth edge as Duane mentioned. Here is the reproduction. Pretty close except for the center rivet.

Except I got it for $3 cheaper from oldbuickparts: https://www.ebay.com/itm/182344776866?_trkparms=amclksrc=ITM&aid=1110006&algo=HOMESPLICE.SIM&ao=1&asc=20200818143230&meid=78932905073c4704bf274cb2bb9b1b60&pid=101224&rk=2&rkt=5&sd=374085689852&itm=182344776866&pmt=0&noa=1&pg=2047675&algv=DefaultOrganicWeb&_trksid=p2047675.c101224.m-1
I've used the cap from CARS for a few years with no issues. I also found this on eBay last year for $25:
